Here's a couple of recent pieces of writing from Cady Gray. This first one got a teacher comment: "Great Poetry!"
My Fish
great fish
pretty fish
always swiming
happy eating
every day
always there
I love my fish!
And this was her summation of the main idea of
The Lorax:
The Lorax The main idea was that Dr. Suess was teaching us not to be greedy and to protect our environment. Don't pollute the water. Don't pollute the air. Animals need the trees.
I leave it as an exercise to the reader to make the connection between the two works.
