Archer tells a story

Note: The toe of a new sock today at Toxophily.

For his birthday, Archer received this rather awesome toy which allows you to illustrate your own four-page story and record narration for it. Yesterday he drew this one. Click the captions below each picture to hear the brief text he recorded for each page.

The saga begins innocently enough.

Still very little suspense here.

A stunning surprise twist!

And a graceful denouement.

Heh. That second picture looks oddly like he's helping her hang herself. I was hoping it wasn't THAT shocking a twist.

I was interested in the transition from third person to first person, though. It sounds like he's initially disassociating himself from his name, telling a story about someone other than himself, but he comes around at the end.

It's too bad there were only four pages. I would've been interested in hearing the events that took Archer and Cady Gray from the sofa to the Statue of Liberty. And it's kind of cool that he made the leap from home to a far away monument that I would assume he only knows from pictures.

Also, what do you think of the dark chocolate peanut M&Ms? They're pretty tasty in my opinion, but I like both dark chocolate and peanuts, so I'm obviously this candy's target buyer.

That story is freaking awesome! I want to hang out with Cady Gray and Archer! I really hope this is the first in a series of stories. I can see a great graphic novel in his future.
